PONTIAC, MI, November 17, 2015 – For the second year in a row, DASI Solutions will participate in Macomb Community College’s RET Days (Robotics, Engineering, and Technology) as part of the STEM initiative to encourage and inspire local students that are interested in  following career pathways into the advanced manufacturing and technology industries. This STEM-focused event, which brings in thousands of middle and high school students from neighboring counties across Michigan, is a great opportunity for local manufacturing, technology and engineering businesses to interact with the future workforce that will be the great innovators for years to come.

RET Days is an event designed to spark student interest in the rapidly growing career fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students will be able to learn about STEM from the leading experts in their fields and gain hands-on experience with some new and emerging technologies that include electric vehicles, 3D printing and underwater robotics. The event this year will be held on December 2 & 3 at the Macomb Community College Sports & Expo Center. On the latter of the days, an evening portion will be held where parents (as well as students) are invited to walk the floor and receive a more personal interaction with the many business leaders exhibiting at the show. This provides a chance for the students to learn about the job skills that are in high demand and hear from recent graduates who have found success.

DASI Solutions is proud to be highly involved with STEM education as well as STEM outreach activities in the surrounding communities. Supporting local educational entities, Robotics teams, and other youth organizations is one of the top priorities of the company. “One of the great pleasures of owning a business is having a positive impact on someone’s life while providing a mechanism to help them achieve their goals and dreams”, said David Darbyshire, Co-Owner of DASI Solutions. The company is a heavy participant of Manufacturing Day, which is held annually each October, allowing students to tour their facility and learn about their business first hand. DASI Solutions is also active in hiring interns as a way to bring fresh minds and ideas into their organization as well as help mold the career path of the student. They have opened their doors for private tours of their SOLIDWORKS CAD training lab and Stratasys 3D Printing Studio for schools and various youth groups, giving kids the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the newest technologies in industry today.

Pre-registration is required for this event taking place at Macomb Community College.
