DASI Solutions holds SolidWorks Orientation Mini-Training at University of Michigan
On Saturday, October 23, 2010, DASI Solutions conducted a free SolidWorks Orientation/Mini-Training event for University of Michigan engineering students. It was originally scheduled for an expected attendance of approximately 70 students. After an overwhelming 373 students registerd, the venue was moved to the Cheseborough Auditorium.
The event was broken into 2 sessions -- an orientation covering the basics of SolidWorks in the morning and an introduction to the advanced features of SolidWorks in the afternoon -- with many attending both. Enough positive feedback was received to hold another event scheduled for January 29, 2011.
DASI held this training because the Computer Aided Engineering Network (CAEN) computers have 500 seats of SolidWorks available to all engineering students and the department wanted to give the students every advantage they could to be better prepared for the working world.
