CSWE

A Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert is someone who easily demonstrates the ability to utilize advanced functions and features to solve complex modeling challenges. A CSWE will be well rounded in their knowledge of all areas of the SOLIDWORKS software. A CSWE is able to solve practically any modeling problem given to them, and is traditionally the go-to SOLIDWORKS user among their colleagues.

Prerequisites – To qualify to take the CSWE exam, a candidate must have:

  • Successfully passed the CSWP exam
  • Successfully passed at least four of the CSWP advanced topic exams (Sheet Metal, Weldments, Surfacing, Mold Tools, and Drawing Tools)

By the time you reach this stage of SOLIDWORKS Certification and you have met the perquisites to take the CSWE, there is not much left to prepare for. By now you should already have Mastered Design Intent, and fully understand documenting your models well enough to make quick changes. The best advice is to practice troubleshooting. Break models and then fix them. Perhaps take a clean design intent model and intentionally decide to go the opposite direction with it and be able to change the models design intent to make it work.
