Automatic View Updates

The Automatic view update option, which controls whether views are updated when the model changes, is now a document property that is saved within the drawing.

To change the update option in the current drawing, right-click on the icon at the top of the FeatureManager design tree and select or clear Automatic view update. When you save the drawing, the option is saved within the drawing and remembered from one session to the next. Previously, it applied only in the current session.

Excluding Drawing Views from Automatic Updates

Individual drawing views can be excluded from automatic updates when model changes are made.

In the Drawing View PropertyManager, under Automatic View Update, select Exclude from automatic update.

This is useful on very complex drawings that take a long time to update. Once any changes have been made to the drawing use Rebuild to update all drawing views then save the drawing.
